When life gives you lemons, make lemonade…

Well, we are still making lemonade, but thankfully our desert adventure is over with, and now so is our Fourth of July wedding.

Alex is teaching middle school and still a Seabee, Lyndsey is the love of his life, and Hamilton, the basset hound, is trying not to slobber excessively.

Hey cuz. Stay save while you are on tour of duty. I am praying that you will be home soon. If you get to Texas come see us.

Jerry & Clara sent the nicest postcard informing us of your website, which we received today. They also mentioned you in an e-mail, with this text:

“Subject: Re: From an Australian whose son is in Iraq

Thanks, Bob, for sharing this one. Having a son in Iraq, a grandson in Afghanistan & another grandson on a ship bound for the Iraq area, when we hear remarks like these it makes us doubly proud.

Hope you two are doing well. We are fine…enjoying the beautiful Spring weather.

If you’d like, I can send the subject e-mail to you; it was extremely complimentary of our personnel in the armed forces currently in Afghanistan and Iraq.

    Keep safe – I love your website(s)!

    Hey Lyndsey,
It was great seeing you this morning..you look great:)

Wow, what a journey these past 8yrs has been! Who knew that you would be doing the photography thing on the side?!..great site & pics by the way:)

Your blog is also great! I’m glad that you have your photography and blog to keep you busy & stay connected to Alex…that’s such a great thing that in this war we have great technology to keep in touch with our men/women vs. letters every few weeks :) You are very brave, and I’ll be sure to keep you both in my prayers during this deployment..I don’t know what I’d do if Jonathan was deployed!!

Anyway, great seeing you..email me sometimes and keep in touch!
    ~Ryley :)

  4. Congratulations on being engaged. And please thank your soon-to-be husband for being willing to put his own life in harms way for the sake of all of us. Your site is really wonderful. Lord bless you! Kerry Hasenbalg
