WE ARE ENGAGED!!!

Almost a month ago, Alex asked me to marry him. It was, simply, the sweetest moment ever. We have always celebrated our “anniversary” every month. Which is funny to us because neither one of us remembers the exact date when we first went out, but we picked a date and have celebrated it every month for 31 months. So October was our Baskin Robbins anniversery (31) and we went out to eat at a very nice restaurant, not unusual for us because we love eating at new places. After dinner, I got free coffee at Starbucks because they were out of the kind I really wanted. We were having a lovely conversation about our relationship when Alex suggested we take a walk to where he realized he loved me, which was at a streetlight behind my parent’s house. It was kinda cool outside but oh well. I thought I saw my brother’s truck parked nearby and just as I mentioned that to Alex, I looked down and written on the street in chalk, was our favorite memories from dating. Under the streetlight, Alex had written vows to me and got down on one knee and proposed. It was beautiful.

I’m trying to get some pictures on this thing. Ha! I just wanted to always remember how I felt because it seems like the moment just passes so fast and this was definitely a moment to cherish. We’ve had a bunch of those lately, with Alex coming home from the desert and now this.

And we have decided to get married on the Fourth of July!
